Malaysia is one of the top 10 coconut producing countries in the world. Coconut is the fourth most important industrial crop in Malaysia after oil palm, rubber and rice. However, every year Malaysia imports about 120million coconuts to meet domestic needs which are estimated to exceed 650million coconuts a year. According to Agriculture and Agro based Industry Minister Datuk Salahuddin Ayob during the 54th Asian And Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) Session and Ministerial Meeting on 24th September 2018, domestic demand for coconut is expected to increase to up to 1billion coconuts by year 2020.
Millennium Tulips Sdn Bhd owns approximately 178 acres of coconut plantation in Kluang, next to the Taman Kluang Perdana project under Parkland City Sdn Bhd. It is expected to generate the first sales starting from year 2020 onwards.
